I'm pretty sure there is no spark did the basic lead
test, but how do you determine what the exact cause is?
I've tried another coil, still no spark, I've tried another lead still no spark
4x4 specs FJ62 F3 LPG/FUEL
Any one got some ideas on how to
check for faults, will try again in the morning
Can some one point me the right way to Electronic ignition please ( website )
TT

check for spark at the points, ignition on and a screwdriver across the contacts, if nothing
check points contact area for pitting ,
check gap, cant remember
the gap but i would guesstimate 14 -16 thou, if points are pitted obviously replace, next suspect the ballast resistor, white ceramic with wires attached, if you have a spare try that one, dont forget condensor,
check the distributor shaft cam , they can seize, lube if suss and try turning the motor over and see if shaft turns , also been known to break, sorry if im wrong, diesel mech., but spark only comes from a few
places, and suspect the unexpected.

Lift distributor cap , look inside base section for a short insignificant looking lenght of wire .
Check end connections for security and condition . Wire can break where it enters the crimped connectors .
