I am off to the Flinders Ranges for week in the morning. I am OIC Works and Tucker for a party of artists who are going to paint the landscapes.

We have had lots of nice soft rain over the past weekend, so everything should be nice and fresh out in the bush

CYA

Cheers

Have a good time on the trip - I know you will. Good to hear the rain fell somewhere - should freshen those beautiful hills up. See you when you get back.

Have a great time in the beautiful Flinders - an artist's paradise. We have had rain here too, and the paddocks are tinged with glorious green. Sheep are spread out chasing the tasty blades of grass, instead of being lined up by the gate yelling for food. Lambs due in 2 weeks or so.

Willem,

The Flinders, after the rain sounds like a perfect trip. Enjoy yourself. We've had good soaking rain in the Victorian Wimmera/Mallee. It's amazing how much better it makes everything seem. Our spirits lift.

My Mum's an artist and then I went out and bloody married one! Good luck mate - you'll need it hahaha...;-))))

Years ago Mum went out to Cue and Coolgardie on one of those painting trips and came back with some wonderful stuff. Take a few pics of the end products please, I'd be interested in having a look.

Like your job description too, 'fitter and turner' we used to call that role.

Hi Dion

I was born in the great year of 1955. My grandfather was an electrician and my father worked in railways as engine driver. We moved to Stirling Nth when I was about 2 years ago.
Was back in Quorn about 2 years ago now. Loved how the place was the same as I remembered it as a child.
The council were doing the median strips then.

First house I lived in was Frederick St, Nth Quorn.

What about you?
Cheers

Pete,
my grandparents lived on the corner of Frederick and Richmond St's Nth Quorn, my other set of grandparents also lived on Richmond St, straight across from each other. Dad was also an engine driver (living in Quorn) based out of Stirling North and Port Augusta.

Cheers,
Dion.

We came through on thursday Willem and it was getting quite a bit of wet stuff out in the southern Flinders. I was going to do a loop from Yunta through the back blocks out and around Dangalli, but didn't think I should chew up some of the Station Tracks so after Gawler Ranges etc we done a run from Orroroo straight home. Hope you have a good week away..
