Hi Simon, You are in a good position to sell your vehicle privately. 99 Gu 4.2 turbo,, good vehicle and should be able to sell it quickly and at avery good price. Michael

4.2's are hard to come by.

Depends how fast you wanna sell it. If your after a quick sale, go cheap but I'd say Redbooks $23k is underdone, specially since someone said they bought a 2.8 for over $20k loaded!

Simon
Id kick off with $27,000+ the motor is the drawcard on that vehicle 151,000 Ks is nothing to a 4.2, right time to sell at the moment, with the usual Nissan blunders on new motors (3.0 CRD same power etc,etc ) & no news of a new model or replacement for the 4.2 motor.
You can only try????

Cheers Steve.

If I was looking at another truck (SWMBO ears just pricked....) I'd offer $28k.

Hi Simon - I paid $30k for a similar 99 GU 12 months ago from the Sunshine Coast (north of Brisbane), and was lucky to bargain down to that figure. It was a private sale (owner had bought a Ford F250.)
At the time, it had 140K on the clock - almost run in.
Only differences to your rig : Mine is a DX; has a winch; no intercooler and no lift.
They do not come on the market often - so - people grab them when they do.
