Just wondering if anybody has had any experience with the improvement of a 75 series lancruiser (tabletop) wheel articualtion. In the bush, mine is pert neer useless as it is very stiff, when there is a series of holes on opposite sides it lifts the wheels really easy. fit new leafs and shocks a while ago and they are stiffer than the originals (about 40mm lift). My main question is has anybody had success with removing a few leafs and/or resetting the springs, would it be worthwhile? Any other suggestions? Am from the hunter/ midnorth coast region (NSW), so any recommentation for doing the work. Also the removal of the front torsion bar? Bad or good move. Also very rarely put heavy loads in the back these days so willing to sacrifice carrying capacity. Any help would be appreciated

Yeah taking a leaf or 2 out may help with articulation, if you have the Big Heavy duty sprigs fitted with like 14 leafs on em then this wouldn’t help out on the articulation side of things even morer, Best to talk to a suspension place and tell them what you are looking for and they should be able to advise if it is achievable.

Whack a Detroit in the back. They'll go any where but can be a bit alarming at times.

Thanks for the replies,
Yes, sway bar, have heard some refer to it as a torsion bar as well (though they are possibly wrong as well), but im no 4wding dictionary. whatever it is called has anybody found it of any value to remove it for better articulation, does it make it dangerous on the road.
