I have been looking into a winch for the 100 series cruiser.
I am weighing up either the 9000 pound or the XP 9.5.
There is a bit of a price difference, but not sure if the 9000 will be stong enough in a single line pull for the weight of the cruiser.
Cheers

Whats the price diff??
You can always use the snatch block for a recovery if the price diff is that excessive!!
You would never stall a 9000 on a twin line pull
Matt.

neither is powerfull enough for a cruiser 100. 10k is bare minimum and then you are talking double pull for a decent bog 12k would be more like it

I am? :o
I'll say my 9000 pulled the GU the other day at Dissa easily, although very slow :-s
Wouldnt mind throwing the 10,000 on but then its 30kg more + new springs for front :(

The $400 extra is not just for the 500lb extra in pulling capacity. Check the specs which will show a far superior line speed at lower power use, particually unladen which helps avoid bird caging from over run when assisting the pull by driving. The 9.5 is probably the best
recreation winch for the 100 series as above that the size & weight of the winch increases allot requiring heavier front springs etc. Both will pull the Cruiser out of the majority bogs double blocked. Even the 12K Warn would struggle to pull a 100 series single blocked if seriously stuck.

aeiou, First check to see if the XP 9.5 will fit into your bullbar. The winch motor is too long to fit into an 80 series ARB Deluxe bar. The XP9.5 has a 6hp motor against the XD9000 4.8hp.
On spec, weight is close to the same 40/39 Kg for the XP9.5 / XD9000.
Cheers, Tony - 80 series cruiser.
