I done went and ordered me one of them there electric Superchip micro dooohickeys. (US$ 379 plus postage arrived in 6 days from Detroit)
Took 15 minutes to install and now the 7.3 Effie goes like the clappers
It feels like all the 956Nm comes under 2k and.......they claim it improves fuel economy as
well. (that's why I bought it......yeah right)
I'll get an EGT gauge just to be on the safe side though.
Think I might go for another drive now...............................................................
Takes me back to HG Monaro with the 350 on nitro .......ahhhh memories.

Interesting question Bob, there were some posts on this on the Bushtracker
forum a while back.
I belive the 1705 Superchips is for Auto only as it changes the shiftpoints among other things.
Suggest you ask these people they have been very very helpful with my queries.
ssd4u.com/ (it's where I got
mine from)
I too found the Oz importers over the top on$$
I like to supprt local companies but not at over three times the odds.
Cheers
Chris

I very much doubt the 956Nm .. thats to be checked on a dyno ..
My Duramax has 270Kw stock and 660 Nm torque ...
With the Predator tune +120hp I may get to 800 or 820 Nm which is ample
at 1800 rpm ...
I simply do not believe the 956Nm .. your tranny will sh t itself soon ...
good luck

956Nm is arrived at by adding the Superchips claimed figure to the stock spec figure.
What it gets on the dyno is yet to be seen.
Given the Navistar parentage higher torque at lower Kw is entirely possible.
I'll let you know when I get the dyno figures
