Try to spend a night or 2 on the wenlock, follow the tracks both sides Great fishing, ask about the secret
waterholes, or the sandy beach if you like adventure.
A must is chilli beach for a night.
when you get to the top ask about the cypress
waterhole, a great
well hidden place for fresh water swimming and desalite
camp site. You need to talk to the locals. Whisper! whisper! you can get a good cheap beer at the army
camp. they like the company and the money goesto there xmas party/social club.

Any way you should no matter were you are drive to the conditions .
With the correct tyre presures and speed and skill you should have no problems , as we tell our group its not a race.
All the best

Bill May can be still a bit early to do the cape it could be still a bit wet on the old track or out to Chilli beach , especially across frechmans it could even be closed . I find early season the road is a bit smoother than late season.
All the best
