Wondering if anyone who has been to Mt Hart in the
Kimberley can share their thoughts/opinion. Worth the visit ? What it was like etc. ?
Thanks in advance.

Mt Hart is a great place to visit. The road in is a bit basic with a couple of
creek crossings.
You cannot
camp at Mt Hart, you can only pre book accommodation which is not on the cheap side.
Meals are great, the people are very friendly and the bar is fantastic, they put all your drinks on a tab until you leave and can be quite a surprise when it is time to settle up. The atmosphere of the bar and the
views make it a great place to run up a huge bar bill.
If you feel like a short break from
camping whilst in the
Kimberley’s then I would recommend Mt Hart.
Regards,
Matt

Fully support the previous reply, it is a great place. It has its own gorge and not too many people. A very interesting history for both the property and the 2 operators. Tremendous meald and even supplied a cheese & Bikkies and champagne hamper for a sunset snack from a distant
hill top.
It is 50 km off the
Gibb River Rd and you can call them up on a radio phone. The track is crosses several creeks, not much
water but a bit rocky but nothing to trouble a decent 4WD .
Don't know if they still have the 2 dingos that were there when we visited, totally free to roam about and friendly enough to sit with you.
A lot of people fly in on air tours from
Derby &
Broome and everyone there shares the same 5 star meals.
Enjoy !
Ken

I wish it was like when we were there 5 years ago.
