My mate recently discovered a problem with the driver side rear door (the one that holds the spare wheel) in that the small metal door stopper (I am not sure if that is the proper description) situated between the two hinges and fitted between the rear door and the cabin had broken. This connecting bar had come adrift from the inside panel weld of the vehicle, not the door. It would seem you can get access through the tail light, however, I was wondering if anyone else has had this sort of problem and is there a quick easy fix or remedy. Sorry about the description but I am sure Nissan owners will be able to visualise the area I am referring to. Any information will be greatly appreciated.
Thanking you in anticipation

Yep, so did my first GU. A friend welded it for me, and we saved the paint work by placing a wet rag on the otherside of the weld.
