With the ever increasing number of private propertys offering tracks for hire in the Flinders, which would have the most spectacular views, the most challenging tracks or best accomodation for a large group?

Craig,
Argadells (near Quorn) is great for a 4wd club group. Has a wide variety of challenging tracks, and some of the best views in the Flinders. Can drive up the top of Mt Arden, and follow part of the Heysen trail. Keep you occupied for 2-3 days. Facilities are not great, but the property is good. Argadells

Southern Flinders: Bendleby Ranges has excellent facilities, is very well run, has two sets of tracks to keep you occupied for a couple of days. Costs are a bit above average.
Bendleby Ranges

Craig,

As well as the two above, there is also Warraweena Sanctuary.
It has some of the best camping and driving on offer in the Flinders Ranges.

Another great spot and a favourite of mine is Arkaroola in the northern Flinders.

Good camping and great driving.

Both are offered at reasonable costs.

Geoff.

Skytrek is meant to be good, I haven't been there yet, Argadells was very good and Worumba was good.

We have recently returned from our first Flinders run. Did the Arkapena Scenic Adventure on the Arkapena property. Stayed at Raunsley Park and organised it there.

We are inexperienced but found it great, a mental challenge more than physical. We have a greater appreciation of what the car will do. Great views, few good steep climbs and declines to keep you on your toes.

From discusions with others the Chance Range spectacular has a couple of excellent sections as it goes over the range.

Looking forward to do some of the others on our next trip.

Argadell's comes highly recommmeded as mentioned above.

Cheers

Steve
