Has anyone been this way since Easter who could tell me if there are any tracks still closed after the fires? Looking at Binns road, Black Range road and Burgoyne track areas. I have checked the DSE and Parks Vic websites but any recent knowledge would be helpful.

Cheers,

Andrew

Andrew

I was up east of Licola over Easter. A lot of contractors where out and about clearing tracks and preparing to fix culverts that had been damaged by the flooding immediately after the fires.

We had intended going out through Arbuckle Junction, past Horseyard Flat and crossing over the Billy Goat Bluff Tk to Dargo, but this last track was closed. We ended up going down the Junction Spur Tk and Castleburn Ck Tk (closed at the eastern end and had to divert) to Waterford.

The Vic Parks website is good value - if anything they seem to be opening tracks faster than they originally planned.

Thanks George. Heading up last weekend in May and was hoping not to spend time turning around. Thanks for the info.

Cheers.

Andrew,

Maybe some info here from my last trip up there on 8th April. Not sure about your specific tracks, but all clear where I went...
