Just looking for some advice on which coil spring to go for. Have thought about OME, TOUGHDOG or KING springs. Already have OME nitro charger shocks fitted, will I be needing longer shocks with such a small lift ?

Your Nitros were possibly intended for a mild lift anyway and will most likley do the job if they are still good.

The listed springs are all good, its a personal thing re which ones to fit.

I am personally happy with my Pedders set up. With 42mm foam cells and HD steering damper to match.

Dont forget the steering damper will you???

The change in your car will surprise you whichever you use.

Hi Jason, I'm not sure about the extra length shocks but I can recommend the King Springs. I'm on my 2nd set now with my 04 GU. Had a set on my previous GQ and they didn't miss a beat. Have a blast with whatever you choose!

Hi.
We got a 2002 GU. 3 ltr. with D'Tronic.
I fitted Progressive rate springs to ours..with 2 in lift. I like the OME. Springs, but they all pretty good. Foam filled not the best for corrugations. can overheat..
It's a different car since. We tow a 6.5mtr off road caravan too. 3 to 4 months of the year.
With the lift. she settles down to just under level. and thr H/Reece bars bring it back up again
The lift softens the whole ride when empty. and missus gives it 100% marks for comfort. (For a 4wd...) Not as soggy as a Tojo.. But lots better than standard.
Good on dirt too..

Hi Jason

You have not put a reason why you would change springs so its hard to comment
on wether or not you will get the improvement you desire.

Each of those springs has around 20% more stiffness and reduces
your wheel travel accordingly.

Many prefer stiffer car and less 4wd capability, others get stiffer
springs to compenstate for load carrying, and some just because standard
ones have sagged.

If sagged you may be better to get standard springs reset because lift
increases centre of gravity of car and neither of those springs
has tapered rod diameter, and hence performance of OEM springs.

HI Jason.

I know the guys down at brunswick conversions did a lift when they did the conversion to the 6.5 Chevy Diesel V8, they are coloured Blue. It might pay you to ask them what they use.

PS the V8 is amazing for towing!!! Oh and accellerating!!!!!!!!

Cheers
