Changed my mine about buying a 12ft quintrex with 15hp yamaha with a very unroadworthy trailer and safety gear for a grand. It is my mates' tinny.

Tomorrow i will be receiving a 4.0m stacer seahorse deep sided tinny with galv trailer (with little light rust) and 30hp yamaha with safety gear and rego for $3000.

The tinny is 22 years old needs a little bit of sikaflex on a seam. The motor is probably 10years old, new tyres on trailer, new lifejackets. This is my uncles' tinny.

Do you reckon this is still a decent deal?

Sounds dear to me, Brian. My Stacer is only 3.5 I know, but I got it new earlier this year, with new folding galv trailer and new Honda (but 15hp) 4stroke for $5,500.

I assume there is probably a big difference in brand new price and versatiliy between a 3.5m stacer and 4.0m deep sided stacer and the average 15hp and 30hp outboard.
Cheers anyway for your opinion.

Here in Mackay, I see that a stacer dealer has for package $5073 - 3.5m stacer seasprite, 8hp mariner, standard galv trailer, safety gear and boat/trailer rego.

You got a really good deal!
