Dalhousie Springs

Big Mike

Does anyone know if Dalhousie springs are ok at the moment. This time last year we jumped in and got eaten by lice or something. Heading out in a few weeks.

Hi mike,
We were at Dalhousie the week after Easter and had no problems with lice as such.The flies were very friendly during the day though and at night a couple of peolple in our group got bitten by mosquitoes.
Look at post 45350 you will get information from that, that is more recent.

We were miserable for a fortnight after our dip, can cope with flies and mossies but the itchies in the water....hopefully they still are on holiday.

Dalhousie springs have small fish that nibble at you,no lice! it's the small fish you feel,there last week water clear and warm the showers are cold! please use showers before getting in to the springs,you will have less for the fish to nibble on on your skin,
enjoy the springs we did.

Hi Big Mike
We were there last week.
No lice.
Plenty of flies and the little fish nibble at your legs but no probs.
The dingoes are keep you amused at night all night as well.
It was very relaxing in the springs.
We were there last Saturday 5th May
