I went there 2 years ago. It is
well worth a visit. Road in ok and
camp ground is good. The owners are very friendly. Depending on what you want to do a couple of days is enough.

Went to Cobold
Gorge last May. It is a great place the owners are really nice there is a
well stocked bar over looking the
camp ground for some interaction with other travellers. We went on the all day tour of
the gorge saw quite a few of the freshwater crocs. the guides are really knowleagble on the area. As far as Mt Surprise it is a good base to explore the area particularly Undarra Lava Tubes. The owner of the Bedrock Caravan Park is a Savana Guide and does the all day tour from the caravan park and the tubes and is cheaper. There
young son does a "Bush Tour through the eyes of a 9 year old" which is really entertaining. Im sure you will enjoy the area.
