Hi Adam,
I think the crossing from memory is called Bob's Crossing. I went through it a few years ago and was pretty deep. The car went sideways a tad but CALM close it off when it gets too deep.
There are two crossings within a short distance of each other. One is a concrete crossing which floods rarely and the other which I think is Bob's is the track one which is 4x4 only all times of the year. Very rocky bottom but guarantees traction.
You can get to it by driving to the main entrance of the Lane Poole reserve where there is a ranger station. You keep following the road through the station which eventually takes you past the Baden Powell camping area. After a few kms you'll eventually hit a T junction. Turn right and just keep driving. You'll eventually come across it on your right hand side which is a steep track down to the murray river.
I guess you could call CALM Dwellingup for precise directions.
Good luckLove the bush.
Chris

Hi Adam,
There are 2 crossings in Lane Poole reserve as stated above. From memory the first one from the entry point is Toms Crossing (dirt, rock) and the second is Bobs Crossing (concrete ford with pipes underneath) This only usually floods in the winter. Further upsteam , past Nanga Mill and Stringers etc. there is a crossing marked on the CALM maps (could be marked summer crossing?). Maybe this is the one you are looking for? Also from memory, it's upstream from Christmas Creek and Dawn Creek. Your map may show it. If not I can perhaps send you the coords when I get home in 2 weeks? I think it's on the CALM map that takes in Driver Road.
Hope this helps,
Wayne.

The 4wd day trip book as mentioned by peter has a couple of trips around that area and I have done both of them. Were both fairly nice drives.Nothing too challenging or extreme. We went during summer months so no water at driver road crossing.Another good area is Nannup Cambray Pool Area but bit further than Dwellingup.

Cheers.Easter fun down Nannup!!
