What type of Jack

Planning extended extended trip in 2003 T/D Hilux wih 2" lift what type of jack is suggested as Hilux has no HiLift jacking points, and standard Toyota Hydraulic struggles in the drive-way at home

Get a 4 tonne hydraulic from your local auto parts store, it will lift the Lux easily and also higher.
Don't forget a piece of formply about 300mm square for a jack base.
Remember too that the standard jack will rarely fit under a vehicle with a flat tyre, you need two jacks quite often to lift a vehicle with a flat

If you have a tow bar and a steel bull bar, you could go to a small engineering place and get them to weld a 75x 50mm box as hi lift jacking points.

I have seen this done many times.
