Hi. I've recently purchased OziExplorer and installed it on a laptop. I have been practising on various features before taking an extended tour and it seems to work very
well however, when navigating a route the only directions I get are buzzes or bells with a caption whereas the help and tutorial sections suggest I should be able to get voice directions. Can anybody suggest how to get the voice navigation up and running or isn't this feature available on laptops? If not, why not?
Cheers!
DM.

You will need Travelmate to have voice with OE.
Look here travelmate.valkron.com/

David,
Contrary to the advice above, you can get voice directions with OE. You have to create a route. Set up waypoints first then link them with the route editor. I've had it running for a couple of weeks now.

I agree with Gramps. Look under Waypoint file attachments in the Help file for more info. OziEx actually comes with a few .wav files in the Sound Files folder such as straight ahead, turn left and turn right, which you can use. You can also record your own and attach them if you wish.
Ozi doesn't do it automatically so it's a bit of an effort, especially for a long trip.
Cheers

Oziexplorer also talks you into waypoints if the waypoints are setup for it.
I have had voice prompts working fine but don't use them as I find them annoying and I know which direction to turn when I get to a waypoint.
Navigation around a UBD map might be different?

And on the subject of OziExplorer voice commands, does anyone know where to find the novalty ones to download? I`ve heard of people having the voice commands that sound like Yoda, Darth Vader and characters from South
Park etc but can`t seem to find them anywhere.
Cheers,
Darren.
