Hello Hello

Planning a trip over to moreton in the next couple of weeks, 10 days of relax and fishing looking forward to it, hopefully the weather is good though. Just wondered if any one has been over lately and are there any suprises as far as camping and the track conditions.

Thanks

I was there about a month ago now, first time I've been over. We camped at Bulwer, which was nice. Tracks I drove were fine (track from Bulwer to Cape Moreton and to Blue Lagoon, as well as middle road - we were only there for 3 days), no problems at all in my 80 series. They were a bit soft in places but I imagine that they can get a lot worse than what they were when we were there.

Hi,

If you are going prior to the end of June then a number of the new changes for Moreton will not be in place.

If you go to www.epa.qld.gov.au and click on the Moreton Island Management Plan then you will be able to read all of the new information.

Online camping bookings I believe also come into effect at that time if everything is set up along with a range of other changes including speed zones, restrictions on some areas as far as access goes etc.

Hope you have a good trip.
