I was just checking the current user section. I understand 'Members', 'Customers' and 'Visitors'. Who are these 'Anonymous' people?

I've wondered the same thing, there always seems to be 500 odd of them.
So if their not members or visitors or customers who are they.

People not logged in browsing the system, internet search engines, "bots" here for other reasons etc...?

Bots would be a lot of them
.. sometimes on the club
forum when I've logged onto admin page, there have been 10 from the same IP! Simply block that IP and most of our "potential members" that are actually just spammers disappeared.

Members and Customers (advertisers) pay-up to gain additional benefits on the site. Visitors are registered users that have a screen name but are "stillthinkinaboudit" when it comes to being a paid up member.
Anonymous are the myriad of people out there on the internet that have put in something like "Cooper Tyres" or "Pilbara" in google or other search engines and are surfing the pages here because this site works hard at being noticed by all the search engines.
These people are probably the main target of this site and are the ones most likely to click through to the advertiser links and provide much of the revenue that keeps the site going.
The
forum exists as a place to keep many of us regulars interested and coming back whilst contributing knowledge that is useful in answering all those internet search queries and keep all those thousands of Anonymous browsers coming to the site.
The more we discuss stuff on the
forum (hopefully new stuff and not the same old stuff all the time) the better the resource that is created. The more hits from browsers that are generated the more revenue the site can gain from advertisers who are chasing eyeballs and sales leads.
Keep up the good work guys!
Muddy

Thanks Muddy, Pleased you have explained why I am here on this Explore OZ
Forum and acquiring more Explore OZ bumper stickers with each map I buy, SWMBO thinks I must be weak in the head department, pleased to find I am normal after all.
Next winter I should be in the position to put those maps to use.
Cheers All
