I had my phone go flat on the way home from a job, when I recharged it the main screen would not start up, I thought it might have to be returned to Telstra, Not so , if anyone else has this problem just remove and relace the battery and it works again.

I have heard that the A701 has very average battery life, is that right?

Oh ok .....i thought you meant it will die early, yeh it seems to go ok for about 4 days, thats no problems as I take the 240v charger with me, it will also recharge when hooked up to the pc via USB port, but I did notice it depletes faster when working on Bluetooth, even with the GPS off it still looks for it at night, so what I do is ....say between Newman and Meekatharra I turn it off ,

Just on batteries. The new LG500TU battery only lasts for a day. Nowhere near as good as the previous Nokia.
