Gday Kate,
We have one guy (Noel) who is coming with us to
Cape York in about 2weeks and he is asking for a passenger...
We are three cars leaving from SA and he is a loner...
He is wanting a paying person and we are gone for 5 weeks...
Thats our best offer...hahahaha.... But it is fairdinkum...
He has a current model Navara and he is in his 50's...
He is Ex star-force so he is quite active....So if he gets stuck he wont expect you to dig.. lol...

For sure, No worries...
I actually hit on the idea of posting from another group of 50+ ppl called GreyNomads.. I suppose I should explain a bit.. I've already done 2x six months trips of both nz islands, but then lost my family in a road accident 4 years ago now. We had planned to do a circumnavigation by 4x4 & camper as my man was form Aus. My growing up years were all spent on a station in the back country so I cut my teeth on driving rough country. My brother, 10 years younger than me, although a full time S.O. fireman, also is the owner/trainer/examiner for the dept of the 4x4 off road safety training school & it was me who taught him & where he got his passion for all things off road.... In my time I too have introduced many ladies to the expanded horizons 4x4's open up with access into the back country as the pleasure of walking or horses passes... & now don't see why I shouldn't be able to find like minded adventures again now as a solo traveling greynomad.

Hi Steven, Thanks for that... but the time frames a bit narrow for me. I hope to meet up with someone, who's into just moseying along in no particular hurry. Exploring out of the way
places over a few months duration or longer !
