When following a preset route and for some reason you miss a waypoint, Oziexplorer still indicates towards that missed waypoint. How do you make it jump to the next waypoint?
While out on the weekend I we missed a turn and missed Wpt2 but ended up at Wpt3 so for the rest of the day the display showed Dist to , Bearing to and Line to Wpt2 because we hadn’t got there. The only ways I could think of in hindsight to force the change to Wpt3 was to either change the Waypoint Proximity or to edit the Route file to delete Wpt2.

A quote from the help file -
well worth reading more than once.
"The software determines if you have reached a waypoint by
Entering the Route Wp proximity zone (set in configuration)
Going past the waypoint (a line perpendicular to the leg direction).
If either of these 2 events occur you are deemed to have reached the waypoint and navigation along the next leg of the route will be commenced.
If you have a route but don't want to start at the 1st waypoint you can select which waypoint in a route to navigate to 1st by selecting the Show Details of Active Route button which is on the Moving Map Control. Select a Waypoint and press the Navigate To button.
"
I have used the "navigate to" feature on many occasions.
A yahoo group dedicated to OziExplorer can be found here:

and a search of the archives will reveal many helpful tips and information.

Thanks Neville
I should have mentioned that it is with Oziexplorer CE that I hav ethe problem. But your response gave me the idea of what to do.
If I go into the Waypoint list in CE then there is the “GO TO” Option to selct the next waypoint.
Does CE then automatically go back to following the route and then when the selected waypoint is reached select the next?

Sorry but I use OziExplorer on my notebook and I have only experimented with OziCE. I'm not really familiar enough with the program to give reliable advice . I'm sure others lurking will help.
In case you don't know there is also a OziCE group.

Alan,
In CE, in the menu at the bottom of the screen, in the View option /Toolbars/Route Nav Toolbar there is a button (on the left) which says navigate to next WP. This should also help when your are navigating.

I'm certainly no expert but what I do in CE to go to the next waypoint in a route is activate the screen control, this allows you to use your finger on the touch screen while driving, set it up for page 2 and tap the route next leg button then tap the hide button again and whalla all done in about 3 seconds using your finger.
