for both swmbo and I, and three kids

I understand you cant run more than instance of Outlook express...will mozilla run more than one ?

at present kids use hotmail as does the boss
or is it simpler to use "Rules" in outlook to put emails into each other folders...but is this private?

I could run Microsoft Outlook for myself and let her use Outlook Express but then what about the ankle-biters?

You can run multiple email accounts in Outlook Express and use email rules to seperate into personal folders, or, you can have multiple identities in Outlook Express.

In Outlook Express, go to File, Identities, Add New Identity and away ya go.

You can setup multiple accounts with Outlook Express. Likewise, you can setup profiles - so you could have a profile for you, one for the missus, one for each of the kids. Each will be private and only be able to access the email accounts setup in each one. Provided you start up with the right profile you will be right.

Mozilla also has the same functionality.

Think you can have up to 4 users (different e-mail addresses/user names). Check with your service provider, supply them with the names you want to use, they will set it up then you set it up on Outlook.

You're joking aren't you? Service providers helping set anything up?

Another option would be to set up different user accounts for the computer - Start ==> Control Panel ==> User Accounts. This would keep each person's My Documents folder, etc separate as well as their emails.

Gee - my ISP, Westnet, gives help at any time. They will talk you through in plain English not computer-geek-gibberish. I can have up to 6 email addresses without extra fees. I have not needed to set up Identities, as privacy is not an issue, but have folders within the Inbox (Outlook), and set different email addresses or topics to go directly to the required folder on arrival.

Before installing Incredimail read the ULA carefully and see what you are leaving yourself open to. Also Incredimail is one of those programs where it is easier to reformat the hard disk than trying to install it. It is also believed to have unwanted monitoring built in.

I detest receiving mail from Incredimail users. An e-mail that is 2-3k in size blows out to 35-80k in size from Incredimail.

Before I made this comment I had to do a test, I sent to myself 2 identicle emails with the same text and photo the Incredimail was 53kb bigger than the Outlook , so your good on that issue but not sure about the other statment about re-formatting the hard drive , I seen that no where , I have no time for all that smiley crap , I deleted them , apart from that it's almost the same as Outlook , works the same , but I did kill the Butler

Doug

That is the problem. Most Incredimail users use it for all that pretty "crap" that bloats
the size of received mail. I tend to request those who use it to mark my address book entry to send me plain text. That way I do not get these "pretty, flowery" and bloated e-mails - so in that case they may as well have kept their old mailer.

Incredimail would have to be the most malware ridden POS I've ever come across. Have spent more hours than I care to remember getting it off friends computers.

DON'T USE IT!!!!!!!!

It's CRAP.

Tell me it's all gone when, in about a weeks time, it pops up and asks you to do an upgrade.......

Problem with that POS is the uninstaller leaves a whole lot of stuff behind. Do a google for "Uninstall Incredimail" and see what you find. It aint pretty.
