Hey guys,

Is it ok to leave the batteries in the XL when it is plugged in to the cigarette lighter or do you need to remove them?

Cheers, Jack

Gidday CYT , I have an XL and leave the batteries in , had no problems, also handy if you switch off ignition, reverts to battery power and doesn't get shut down, a message comes up on the screen, "power lost at ....."

See ya

Why don't you hot wire it so it don't go off with the ignition key, That's how my two are , always on and ready ,

Gidday Doug, that is on the to do list , sort of , we have three 4x4s in the family so it gets moved from one to the other sometimes, probably should hardwire it then it will NOT get borrowwed.

Ahhh such is life

Thanks guys,

I will leave the batteries in.

Nutter, you could hard wire the cigarette lighter in all of your vehicles.
That way it could be swapped between them and you still wouldn't lose power if you turn the car off.

Cheers, Jack
