We are heading off in the Troopy I have been adding bits and pieces to very soon on our way to The Cape then round oz via the Savanah way and beyond. I am a carpenter looking to work on the way and have heard that there are heaps of jobs west of Rocky and Mackay that are paying big $$$$. If anyone has a contact up there it would be greatly appreciated or knows where the work and $$$$ are.

When you get to
Brisbane area , call into the Shell roadhouse at Rocklea and look up Lou Grasso , he is a Chippy from
Ingham working around
Brisbane and he camps at the shell in his Hilux his ph No is 0427477610, and tell him Doug in
Perth told you.

katherine, nu steel homes have been advertising for all trades for a while, they have a lot of houses to build.

You will only need to sneak into a town and whisper that you are a chippy and need work, and you will never leave !!
Heaps of work anywhere, especially anywhere near a mining area.

Yep going to do the same in a couple of years. Toss a few
tools in and see do a few jobs around aussie.
Already have a job waiting in NT not chippy stuff but suit me for awhile.
I'm sure you will have no problems finding work, have a great time.
