I have a diesel Terracan which I am looking to upgrade the
suspension on to make it better for towing and dirt driving. I know the Ironman package gets a good wrap from people but can anyone with a terracan who has the OME package through ARB able to let me know what they think?
The package of shockies and springs from my local ARB bloke comes in at around $1000. As ARB are much easier and closer for me to get the work done than an ironman dealer I'm happy go with them if i can get a good wrap on their package which sounds like a good package form the local ARB bloke ( as they all do).
Thanks

Why don't you check out the Terracan Owner's
Forum Link lots of owners using various
suspension enhancements and modifications. Plenty of very experienced owners/users should be able to answer all your questions and concerns. A great
forum for Hyundais

Nothing against arb but do you know that tyrepower also stock and fit all ironman products? My old man has a diesel terrican and it was cheaper for him to go to tyrepower and have them fit the ironman kit than it was for him to order it in and pay for freight. Just food for thought.

Dont update with the genuine Terracan
suspension that is on offer from Hyundai. My neighbour directly across from me had it fitted when he bought new and reckons its not worth the money he paid. He wished now he had bought it standard and updated to better
suspension like you are now. He said the height changed by about 10 mill and the bum still sags when loaded up. He was told it would increase height by about 40mil but nowhere near it, after fitment and him asking did they actually change anything he was told its not a lift kit it just firms up the
suspension to with hold more weight. As far as what you want to fit will all depend on your self. Every one has there favourites like myself. I had OME in the hilux and loved it and getting fitted to prado but then other prado owners swear by Bilstein and king springs, then others love tough dog, the list is endless. I think go with what you find in your price range and what you are really looking for and intend useing the vehicle for. Only thing I can say is buy good quality and it will last. Buy cheap sh#t and you will be paying for it again not long down the track.Any good
suspension place should ask you the normal questions, FRONT, do you have bullbar ?? If not are you intending to get one ?? Steel or alloy ?? Dual Batts ?? Winch ?? REARS, Will you be towing anything heavy ?? Will you have _Affordable_Storage_Drawers.aspx etc in back ?? fridge etc etc, if they dont ask you any of these questions and just recomend some thing off there shelf then myself I would walk. Thats just my opinion buts thats what I look for when purchasing things like this. Good luck. Regards Steve M

Des, I've got Tough Dogs and they are good. Most of the other Terracan guys on the Terracan
Forum www.terracan.australia4wd.com are using Ironman
suspension. Mainly I feel because it is cheeper. On the weekend a number of us hit the Powerlines track and to be honest I think my Tough Dogs performed much better than the Iron man stuff. I may be biased though. As said above dodge the Trek-n-tow it's bloody expensive and you don't here many good reports.
