If the photo is already on the internet and in another website this is how I do it, first I copy and paste the link that you will see below this box where you type a message, onto the area here
For images:
Then go to the photo right click on it click PROPERTIES copy the URL address and paste it over the for images
between the " " as in here img src=' '> and the one above was taken from the ICOM site
I had to alter the demo one because it won't send without a URL in it

Thanks, I did know that, I just wondered if anyone knew where that particular hotel is, it looks very isolated with no other buildings around it, wish I knew how to post an image.

According to my map which looks pretty old there are only about 6 buildings in the town.

Yep. It is just outside of Broken Hill near Silverton as a matter of a fact.

It is used for film shoots. So far it was used in a XXXX commercial, a Fosters commercial for the asian market, a McCain frozen corn commercial and something recently which I can't remember.

I worked on the Fosters film shoot there which involved a trained kangaroo they'd bought down from Queensland at great expense.

It is just a mocked up shell and is 're-dressed' to suit the brief for each shoot.

The Silverton Hotel has featured in many movies and commercials over the years. It is an operational hotel. In the beer garden you can see all the different signs that have been used to rebadge the hotel for the shoots. Last time I was there the Mad Max car was parked out the front.

It is about 15 or so km out of Broken Hill on bitumen. Heading into town from Adelaide, turn left at the Mobil service station - enjoy the dips on the way there - and hope that is doesn't rain - as you can get stranded. Not so bad though, waters clear pretty quickly so just enough time for some quiet ones.

There are a few art galleries out there, and a museam etc. Enjoy a sunset over the Mundi Mundi plains which can be viewed from a lookout just a little further down the road.

The buildings in Silverton are spread out in such a way that you could esily take a photo of any of them without another getting in the way.

Shaker, i think its on mundi mundi plain station. Go to the tourist info place in broken hill and ask them for directions. I think if you drive north out of Silverton about 10km after you come of the range you see a sign pointing to mundi mundi plain.on the left. Thats where it is. But it is on private property.

No, it's not the Silverton Hotel, but it's just down the road from there. As I said, it is a film set on private property.

Being partial to a pony of shandy on a hot day, I have called into the Silverton for a beverage or two myself after a days filming at said temporary erection.

Where did the image originate? Perhaps that might give us a clue as to it's authenticity and possible location.

More than likely. That building is the product of a production designer's imagination. It is just an empty shell.

As I mentioned earlier, it is well known in film circles and has been used for many different productions over the years. I have shot there myself.
