Johnny boy
I just been going back through my reciepts and found the Oct and Dec 2003 dockets from ARB Rockhampton for the Complete set of OME Leafs, Dampers, and Steering Damper, all comes to $2454 , My point is this, how long is a $855.00 set of springs going to last, these OMEs have not altered since fitted , I was told I would probably not have to buy springs again , I tend to believe it , I know some might not be able to afford that cost but I always work on first buy is the only buy ,anyhow mate I do hope they go well for you.

Who's the retailer.Anyhow the best thing is don't jusp at the first set you see, do some research , do some searching on the web , I was warned off Series 2000 from TJM ,

Hey I just done a search for you and came up with this
Tough Dog Coil Suspension 2" Lift Kit for Toyota Landcruiser 100 Series
But you wouldn't want to go 2 inches would you .Mine went about 3 inches after the crappy old ones but about an inch over standard
www.4x4store.com.au/Tough-Dog-mid-64.html

------------------------------------------------------------
So here you have the OMEs actually I don't think Coils would be as expensive as my Leafs, zipp on down to your nearest ARB and check em out, you won't regret it

I have only used the Terrain Tamer Shock absorbers which I put on my Jackaroo about 6 months ago. To be honest they felt no better than the clapped out original isuzu/tokiko shocks that were on it . The terrain Tamers were stamped with Cofap made in Brazil. The biggest improvement that I got was by fitting air bags to the rear coils from truckspring company in USA. Half Aussie price delivered to my door.

Terrain Taimer shocks are, as previously stated made by Cofab, which also make "branded" name Series 2000, TJM, OME & a heap of others. Work quite well & cheap enough to replace regularly if neded. As for their springs , forget it - cheap Indian imported rubbish. Had a set on for 7 mths & sagged worse than the old ones that I replaced them with. Warranty ??- apparently they are are"supposed" to settle in. Never again.

Hi Sarg, OME are not a re branded Cofap but a shock made in Australia by Monroe [Tenneco] to Old Man Emu specs .They are similar to Monroe magnum but the valving, quality of materials and bushes are quite different. I think the Cofap and simmilar are made in Mexico. OME coils are made by Kings in Australia.

g'day JB,

Last November Don Kyatt had an open day for our 4x4 club, sausage sizzle and around 30% off everything.
I bought a 2" raised set of springs and shocks for my 2004 gu patrol.
The saga:-
After fitting the springs n shocks the front was 110mm higher, the back stayed the same.
Next set of springs had the back lifted 80mm(OK) and the front 25mm. I put up with this for a couple of months but as the front had sagged back to almost standard height, I took them back and was given a full refund.
PLEASE NOTE!
Although the product was pretty bad, the staff at Don Kyatt were fantastic!!!!!
They couldn't do enough and were embarressed that this could happen.
They ended up saying I could keep the shocks and gave me a box with enough fuel, oil and air filters to service the car three times for my trouble!!
I ended up with free shocks(which work well) and a box of filters for nothing!?
Can't recommend the springs but you couldn't go past their service and backup.
hope this helps
Cheers
Nifty
