Just lashed out on a new Coromal Pioneer Silhouette with a treg hitch. Previously had a van where I used 4 x ride bars but now find unless I drill a couple of holes in the Camec half-moon thingy that the ride bars go into, so that they can accommodate the two little "legs" off the treg bracket, I won't be able to use the bars. As far as I can make out, I'd have to a) buy a second treg bracket and cut the "legs" off so that it can sit on the half moon and I can use the ride bars on long bitumen runs - but the Treg wouldn't swivel - and/or b) just use the Treg without ride bars for the rough stuff and if necessary change over from one to the other as demands dictate. Apologies if that sounds complicated but I'm sure others have experienced the same dilemma. The shorter draw bar (and overall trailer length) should help minimise sway and @1287 tare weight my Defender 130 should cope with the towball weight and overall weight so am I over-doing it by using ride bars at all? It's nice to have the security of the bars - any Goldstream, Jayco Eagle, CT owners????????????

Have run 2 vans now with Treg hitches and Hayman Reece bars. Wouldn't run without them on the highway but can be removed in the rough stuff if need be. I too had a problem with the little tag thingees - cut them off and welded a short bar across the top of the towbar behind the hitch receiver to stop it rotating.
Cheers
