G'day
I have a 2005 Nissan Navara 3.0ltr ST-R and have been interested in getting a DP chip. Was wondering if anyone could give me an idea how much they are and if the gains are worth it?
Thanks
Chris

Hi chris
I fitted a dp chip about a month ago and it is fantastic. Wish I had done it 4years ago.cost is about $1400 and gains
well up to you as they have a 1 to 10 setting you can dial up for what ever you are doing .
Mine is mostly set on five. I also have upgraded the exhaust and dump pipe from the turbo and the power is from the second I hit the throtle with no turbo lag what so ever but the biggest noticeble change is when you change gears you dont have that second or so waiting for the turbo to spool up. I would asume you would get a similar change from any of the chips but I chose this one because it is adjustable and AUST made and it suited my needs. Got
mine done through TJM they give you the choice of the dp or dtronic.
I have a few mates that have navara's and
mine is older by about 3yrs and 100000km and
mine leaves their for dead a totaly different car. But
shop around there are a lot of chips on offer.
regards
ross

Chris........I have a 2002 Navara.......went Diesel/Gas.......amazing, not only the 20% extra power and torque but your motor runs much cleaner as you now get close to 100% burn out of you Diesel so less polution and longer engine life. It cost me $4000 but with $2000 rebate from Federal Govt and $1000 from State Govt cost to me was less than a chip. My range has also been extended by 250-300 K's
Regards
Richard
