Explorist XL GPS - help needed - track history

I have a Explorist XL G.P.S. and being a "learner" I have "stuffed up" something when trying to learn how to use it....My problem is .....on the "Map Screen" the GPS used to leave a "dotted or Dash Line" indicating your track history, when walking or driving along......NOW ..... it shows you "your position" however "no dash line"....how do I get it back......any ideas...??????????

Hi Harro,
I no expert but try the following:
MENU
MAP SETUP
TRACK MODE FIELD
Select AUTO or AUTO DETAILED

Hello - try
Menu - Track Log - select "Active Track" and press Enter - Select "Resume Logging" and press Enter

Thanks Greg --- however "done that" but it still does not leave........dotted "track history" displayed on screen....... the "incon" (pointer) mores around the screen OK however "no track" plotted on screen.........any further ideas......would be appreciated.....thanks for your input.

Check your mannual, look for anything that states bread crumbs, I dont have your model GPS I have the megellan gold, so not sure if it will refer to track history as bread crumbs as it does in my model.

Hi Harro,
Try the following:
With the map screen being displayed, press
MENU
MAP SETUP
Select DISPLAY with the right arrow
Make sure the Track Lines is selected

x4BY4 Pete.........JACKPOT.........your "clue" solved the puzzle......don't ask me how the box got "unticked" in the first place..........however .......as a "learner" I am entitled to "3 strikes" and this is the first "one". Thanks a million....and all the others who had "input"
