Ok, so I've joined too. Been lurking for years off and on. Answered a few questions as a visitor now and then.
Finally bit the bullet and dolled out the cash.
We're planning a Simpson trip in a few weeks and I've picked up heaps of info recently from this site whilst planning and preparing.
I'm hoping to wire-up the HF this weekend, so I suspect that I'll be posting a few questions of my own in the very near future :-)

Hi Geoff,
Good to see another local getting on board. Hope to see you at one of the south east gatherings soon.
Nice choice of ride.
Regards, Trevor.

Yeah, I'd like that. We've got 3 weekends before we leave on our Simpson trip. But the wife has been counting all the time and dollars that I've been pouring into the car and camping gear getting ready for this. It's being used as credit-in-kind for a whole bunch of house maintenance and improvements that have been languishing, so I fear that my weekends for the next year are going to be booked out!
Hopefully we'll get away a bit though.
The car _is_ nice. The lovely wife prefers the petrol Prado (more zippy, more seats, easier to reverse) but my fav is definately the Patrol. Of course, our first significant tour will determine if it has been a wise purchase or an expensive learning exercise.
We try get out with a bunch of friends every month or so (mostly GQs), but since they've virtually all got lockers now, they are starting to do things and go
places beyond me.
Can't quite justify the locker yet :-)

Hi Geoff,
Is your other car a white Prado with EO wheelcover and small EO sticker on back window as
well as large white EO sticker across front windscreen?
If so, I saw your two daughters (is that a good way to get in your wife's good books LOL!!) driving nth bound on Gympie rd at Kedron yesterday arvo. I was the mad hatter in the green Patrol waving at them, I also have the EO wheel cover on the back, so they may remember.
Cheers, Trevor.

It's a white Prado, but no EO wheelcover nor sticker on the front. So no, that wasn't us. I'm sure they appreciated the wave though.
I'll keep an eye out for your EO cover on the green Patrol as we're driving around.
