Those old plastic film canisters are great to store one dollar coins in (get about 17 dollars in each one), so you have a supply in the glove box for the phones in the outback or the washing machines/showers in caravan parks. Can also try to upsize them at the clubs when you go there for a feed.

They are also great for putting cigarette buts into, now there is no reason to throw them on the ground.

Cheers Steve.

Best invention ever is the Butt Bucket ... I got a few for $2 each and give take them with me for when I travel with smokers (I used to but have as good as given it away). Drop your old ciggie into it, it extinguishes itself and you dump the lot into a bag later.

They also keep matches dry, just put some sandpaper in the container with them for lighting them when the need arises.

I use them for cooking herbs and spices. Also for little things like tyre valve inserts, spade terminals, and similar odds and ends in the tool box.

I also used to use them to carry film but now I have gone digital.

Well Au-2

I still use a 35mm SLR Camera so my supply is still good.

I have used them for all of the purposes suggested above. No coubt they will be improvised for other things in the future.

At least until I get all modern and buy one of them "dig it all" cameras.

All the National Parks in N.T. had them in great supply for butt containers a couple of years ago. There's probably enough people left using film to maintain a supply.
