Hairy
Gday,
Just a warning to any one up here for the Finke!
Long necks or Tallies are no longer available in Alice and if you want to buy Green Ginger Wine you are only allowed 1 bottle a day and its only available between 6.00 pm - 9.00pm.
So if you want a couple of bottles for Finke....start stocking up!
Cheers

No not for me, I know to plan ahead. But I feel sorry for the tourists who head down the pub Saturday morning before they leave to grap a bottle and get told, not till 6.00 and you can only have 1.

Many, who have seen the devestating results from alcohol abuse and misuse in many communities (both urban and outback) would be reassured to hear that at long last commonsense is beginning to prevail. For those that need alcohol to have a good time, I'm sure that you'll find ways to satisfy your cravings. Nothing wrong with alcohol mind you, however not everyone sees or has the need for it, the social implications, economic ruination and the damage to the brain (cells) and other bodily organs from prolonged over abuse are
well documented. Give me a bottle of Coke and a Bex powder any day.

I agree, a bottle of coke liberally laced with rum and a bex the morning after to stop the ferrets fighting in my head.

Are you for real?
These laws dont stop alcoholics getting their grog. They used to drink beer, now they drink bourbon. If you want to solve the problem...stop buying it for them.
Anyway this post wasnt to crap on about some do gooder alcohol laws but to let people know so they dont get caught out.

I must agree with hairy, and I have seen the results of alcohol abuse, but yet again laws are being past that affect those who are responsible as
well as those who are not. Why can't the government pass laws to say those who drink and cause problems or those that purchase alcohol for problem drinkers and no longer allowed to drink and if they do they will be punished, instead of punishing everyone.
