G'day all,
I'm trying to track down 12 volt rocker switches to match the ARB Air-locker switches.
I've done a search and found that Robin M got some through ARB as a replacement for his dead one, but what I'm after is the same switch but without the ARB or Diff Lock glowing graphic. I've seen plain ones with a red light insert on here but have no idea where to get them.
The usuual Hella/Narva searches haven't turned up anything.
Thanks,

Tim,
It's amazing the questions asked on these forums! ...... I went through all this a couple of years ago.
Here is exactly what you're after.....
rocker-switches.carlingtech.com/index.asp
You might just need to track down an australian supplier ... and look out for the $$$. They're not cheap, from memory.
If you do go ahead and buy some, I will be interested in where and how you set them up..
Cheers,
Mark
Ps Been meaning to ask how the Caladonia
River Track is at the moment.... went down a few years ago and it was VERY steep and rough. Also the Butcher Country Track was the same. Amazing country down there.

G'day Mark,
MM sent with email address.
The Calendonia and Butcher Country tracks are closed to at least November at this stage. The Calendonia was officially closed for a couple of years after the '03 fires - so hopefully they'll open them this year.
Went down the Calendonia
River Track last year with the Boys trip - great track but the DSE had made it a fair bit easier with dozers etc. Everyone still bottomed out on the river crossings though - big rocks up here!
The 'Boys Trip' last week went off pretty
well - Freestone Creek Track, Lee Creek, Killeens Climb, to Horseyard. Next day down Billygoats and back up due to not being able to get through the Wonnangatta River - way too much water to allow a safe crossing. Kingswell
bridge is also out still so we were 'land-locked' and had to retreat up Billygoats. A gentle drive
home down Marathon and along the Eastern side of the Avon Wilderness before returning
home.
Great photos and pretty good DVD footage - if I do say so myself!

Tim, it was the Freestone Creek Track we got part way through re-opening but had to turn round at a
big tree we couldn't winch off. So the Wonnangatta has more water in it eh? Great to hear.

John,
I had a few mechanical probs the day before the big trip was to start - darn pinion shaft bearings - anyway, the other guys left on the planned route with my maps. They had to remove four trees between Freestone Creek Track and Horseyard. The good thing about the 'boy's trip' is that everyone wants to get in on the action - more chainsaws than trees....
Did you have the KK on when you did the Freestone? I've been tinking of taking our KK (Kamper) up some of the hills for some remote camping. I'm just a bit worried about stopping half way up some of the hills around here. Especially with override brakes - It's hard trying to convince the better half to stand between the truck and KK and applying the brakes manually - actually no chance at all!
Once the repairs were done I met up with the lads at Horseyard - good not getting wet chainsawing trees!
The Tuesday night we got over an inch of rain and it all went into the Wonnangatta and Crooked Rivers. No way to safely cross at either
Eaglevale or Kingswell
Bridge.
I convinced one bloke to walk the crossing tied off on a snatch strap (I was joking) - he finally got enough courage to try - had to convince him I was joking. It may have been the first Boys Trip to return with one less....
All in all it was a great trip and when I work out how to upload trip files I'll put this last trip up for others to enjoy.

Tim, yes had the KK on and had to reverse back to jack knife around with a 30 point turn at a bend with a ridge off the side that allowed me to get around. We thought we weren't too far from the
Dargo road when we had to turn back. Winched a few other trees off before we got stuck too
I actually wrote the trip up back in February when we went on up as far as Corryong through the bushfire areas of 2003 as
well as those that way.
