wheel and tyre sizes

I would like to know how wide in tyres i can go with these rims.I think the size is j16*6jj (hope thats thw right numbers).They are sunraysia pajero rims if that helps.Thanks for any help i get.

Are you sure they aren't the Triton/pajero ROH steel rims which are 15" x 7" ?
Tyres are a lot cheaper with these ones and you can put wider tyres on them.

they are definatly 16 inch rims.And you right about the being a darer size.

I have 16x6 jj rims on my paj - 96 NJ.
235/85/16 is the largest you can fit, may not be quite legal though.
225/75/16 fit
well too and don't change the gearing as much, and don't roll under the corners like the 235/85.
