Not the mould around the front windscreen ?? Run some tape around the mould so it sticks to windscreen then mould then other over the paint work all the way around then take for a run. Sometimes the mould lifts just enough for the wind to get under it and sometimes even whistle's quit loudly like on skippy when he uses the gum leave to whistle for skippy to come hopping. Well Well, Mark I also have a 2004 LC100 with exactly the same wind howling noise. Only happens on passenger side at freeway speed and as you said when it is windy or gusty. I havent spent much time looking for the cause yet,but I believe it is originating from around the wheel arch and guard area. I was actually going to ring the local Toyota dealer and see if they have come across it. Anyway you never know someone here may have rectified this problem before. Good Luck.

Do you have a bonnet protector??
If so, check the little plastic clips on the outer edges. If they are missing, the outer edges vibrate against the bonnet, making a noise.

G/day cruser, mate your prob sounds (no pun intended) like a classic case of sound resonance it`s a phenomena that happens when two or more sounds of different frequencies collide & produce a totally different sound/noise, it will only happen with a given set of circumstances, ie; 100~110 Kmh, wind on passenger side etc. I really have no idea how to cure the prob, it would require some sort of redesign methinks... Could try a set of fat tyres & guard flares, if that don`t work at least she`s gunna look good. Cheers Ron.

Turn the radio up.

Or do like I do.... allow so many noises to build up that it's just one big happy noisy jaunt whereever I go! I alway worry when one of the noises disappear... sometimes the motor has died...
