It's time to replace the main starter battery on my 03 SR5 Petrol Hilux before it goes while I'm not the next trip. Any recommendations? A mate suggested the Exide Extreme but not sure if there is one for for my vehicle.

I had the biggest sucker I could find which was a 760cca in my lux and I ran the fridge off it for a week in high country but vehicle was started/driven everyday. I only had about 1 1/2 inches between the side of the battery and air con compressor. the battery had two handles on it so I cable tied one of them to a hole in the top of the inner guard so that incase the battery clamp let go it wouldnt slide into compressor. I got sealed one as I had alot of paint damage due to acid spillage when off road and splashing onto paint around inner guard and battery area from previous battery. It was $155.00 from a battery place here in Batt street Penrith. I think its called battery world for memory but can find out for you if needed not sure where you located. Regards Steve M
