Suzuki ’92 petrol. I was asked to help with boyfriend inlaw fix gearbox. I spoke to the idiot and it sounded like anything but so I said bring it over but make sure oil in motor and water in radiator. Both ok says he. He arrived and first glance saw no water in radiator but green water back of motor on top gearbox. Oh says he I keep the plastic bottle full, duh. We filled the radiator but water kept running out. He talked about revs not coming down and smoke from gearbox but I think not. I gave one of the heater hoses a tug and it snapped in my hand. Took him to spare parts place and he found one that looked the same and I fitted it for him and cranked the motor which sounded good so he had not blown anything running without water. I was going to attack the other hoses but the other heater hose disappears under the manifold where I cannot get my hand or a tool to remove the hose clip. I told him to get the rest of the hoses fixed but it will probably come back to me so I ask the question, any advice on accessing the heater hose under the manifold?

Thanks in advance

Owen

You might be able to poke a long screwdriver up through the manifold from underneath.
