I have recently acquired a Magellan Meridian GPS. I am aware there may be a users group. I would appreciate any details of the website so I may participate.

Sorry, off the track a bit but i've heard heaps on the Meridians and would'nt mind taking a look into them. What is the rough price for them?
In regards to support and user etc I know that Garmin supply full manuals online so I'd assume Magellan are the same.
RegardsLove the bush.

Chris I have previously used an Etrex, now I've purchased a Magellan Meridian Platinum and have found it very user friendly. I now need to progress to integrating tracks, routes, maps and PC usage which I am looking forward to.

I looked at Ebay and it is good.
I finally purchased via Mall 24-7, this enabled me to package a competitive price and ship all the accessories in one package so reducing freight costs.

Ross, if you are going to the meeting Thursday I'll catch up with you, I bought a Meridian about 6 months ago, wise decision, great tool, Mapsend software is a valuable addition. Martyn

Presumably you mean just Mapsend WA?
Was the installation self explanatory?
I understand I may be able to download off the the net via the users group.
Sorry I am not scheduled to attend a meeting on Thursday, but I do appreciate your advice.

Ross,
Yes Mapsend WA is correct and yes it was very easy to install, I bought a memory card (32 meg) and stored the whole of WA on the Meridian all the time, I found having the memory card installed all the time with the software made wirking with wayponts and routes a lot quicker and easier.
If you are going to use a laptop then all this info doesn't really matter, I haven't got enough real estate in the car to have the luxury of my laptop.

Martyn, You may find that
Perth 4WD Club of WA Inc is not the same as 4WD Club of WA. Confussed? Aren't we all. Perhapes
Ross could let us know what the name of the
Perth 4WD Club of WA was before they changed it. Regards Mark

On application to the Ministry of Fair Trading a Certificate of Incorporation on Change of Name was issued on 8/5/01.
Light-Weight four wheel drive club of western australia Inc. became
Perth 4WD Club of WA (Inc).
In our clubs' history which extends beyond 25 years. I understand, we may also previously have been named the Suzuki Club.As I am only a recent member of less than 10 years I am relying on word of mouth.
Sorry you're confused, our name change was a natural evolution for a club which now accepts applications from any person owning a 4WD or with an interest in 4WDing. We currently comprise Suzukis to the biggies.
I am currently driving a turbo diesel Prado.
I am happy to provide any further information you may require.
