just after some details on the prado auto trans in the 97/98 2.7 litre and the v6 what are they like and do people have much trouble with them will not be towing anything heavy like caravan jsut light aluminium boat cheers

I have an auto 3.4l and had an intermitant fault where it would not change down gear when in drive this would happen once every couple of months or so but would rectify itself when you turned the car off . Took it to an auto specialist who found it had gone into fail safe mode due to a faulty throtle sensor. Anyway he mentioned the gear box is in great nick and they are tuff as.
