Have a Troopy Poptop Camper, sleep in the roof, mattress lives up there flat all the time. Have strict height limitations, and need to be able to cut some indentations into the side of the 'mattress' to accomodate mechanisms to tie down poptop.
Am thinking about getting a 100mm Latex overlay to replace existing 'crappy' foam. See https:// Site Link - perhaps combined with a 'egg shell' type lower density overlay.
Anyone had any experience with latex overlays of this kind as a mattress? Any
feedback? Anyone know of other suppliers of latex overlays like this?

Have a dense 6inch foam mattress in our Caravan with a 2inch Latex overlay, is beautiful.
We have an 8inch pure Latex at
home, The Best.
Some think it is expensive, but consider this YOU SPEND APPROX ONE THIRD OF YOUR LIFE IN BED!!!!. Should not shortcut on your bed or your footwear for the sake of your health.
The 2inch overlay cost us approx $400-00 three years ago. Make sure you get it from a reputable supplier, if you are in Bne I can give you one there.

Thanks for your reply. The quote for the 100mm overlay (4 inch) was $575 delivered. Their 2 inch cost $310. It seems like a lot of money, but we are about to head off for 3 months touring, and I can't bear the thought of 100 nights on the current set-up.
I'm not going to find a local supplier in my part of the world (other than Clark Rubber - but I suspect I'm better dealing with a specialist supplier) - so I'd be pleased to to receive your recommendation regarding a
Brisbane supplier - I'm sure delivery can be arranged. BTW were you suggesting that AFE are not reputable?

Just for interest, I priced latex overlays at Clark Rubber today. 50mm queen size was $449 - with a thin cotton cover. 25mm was $199. On that basis the quote received seems reasonable.

The supplier you list does not give location.
The people we used is Latex Mattress Foam Centre 560 Boundary Road Archerfield
Brisbane 4108, Phone (07) 3277-8672.
When we bouhght ours approx 90% 0f their business was to Medical Industry, Hospitals Etc.
Not saying the bloke you mentioned is no good.
However as we spend a third of our life in bed it does not pay to skimp on good mattress & comfortable footware for health reasons.
A few $ spent on phone calls can be money
well spent before making major purchases.
