Hi All,

With a crowd of thousands, Mt Dare enjoyed another Qld win in the State of the Origin. Some NSW tourists left with tears in theirs eyes and beer in their bellies.
Cheers

What in Heaven's name are you talking about? Some form of sporting event obviously, but what is played on a Wednesday?

Where ya from ,Russnue? Pluto????

Kidding, eh. (and probably sucked in as well).

Mates, all the Million -dollar-Muscles that belong to the super-rich sports folk bore me witless.
But, in defence of my fondness for parochial sport, I do still retain an interest in "The State of Origin".
The State of Origin is essentially a three game contest, in which a bloke (no sheilas yet, may god blessem), will play for the State in which he first played.
(OK, ok. but let's be polite, shall we?)
In this case it is Rugby League. So you have Club mates playing against each other, because of pride of 'country' (thanks Bro).

I dunno who gets paid how much.I just think it's a bit like games used to be 40 years ago.If you were Really Good, you were offered a job and a few quid for a win.
Nostalgia?
Probably not.
Jeff.

G'day Russ n Sue
I'll tell ya what sport is played on wednesday's- celebrity bloody AFL. Channel nine (VIC) in their infinite wisdom broadcast the legends match and drop kicked the origin viewing until later that night. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not having a go at the wonderful game of AFL, but one would think that for just three nights a year they would honour the religion of origin and let all of us toads and roaches in Victoria enjoy the experience and broadcast live, not hours later when it's second hand news anyway.

Me thinks that this legends match was strategically planned by the AFL to be played in conjunction with the origin game to prevent the good people of Victoria converting to a better code. ;)

Cheers,
Heffers

Easy on the sickly Cockies eh: they're used to a crushing blow.
hahahahahahahahhahhahhahahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Oh how Sad!!
Nice of you to confirm my suspicions Ian; thought you may have been human.(Now that I proof read, perhaps I assume too much ?)

(May I suggest that all Cockroaches slink South to, arrh, Melbourne, eh.[Global warming, you know; QLD is quite obviously too hot at the moment].)
Hold the laughter; a moment's reflection, in honour of the defeated Team, 'cause I reckon they played really well.
Thanks Fellers, both sides eh.
Jess.

Ian,

It was a great outcome for Queensland. Now they just have to finish the job in game three in Brisbane.

Go Queensland.

read about a little girl who told her teacher she was a QLD rugby supporter and the teacher asked why. She said cause her dad was a QLD rugby supporter and her Mum was a QLD rugby supported so She was a QLD rugby supporter

And the teacher, blue to the core said, what if your Mum was a moron and your dad was an idiot? Then I would be a NSW rugby supporter she said hahahahahah

Hello Ian from Birdsville - good result last night - we have the Maroons flagflying from the front gatepost at the house. Tried to ring you at Mt Dare this a.m. but must have been busy getting congratulations on the phone. Heading out west tomorrow but not coming across this time - have visitors for a two day trip only. Be here for a couple of weeks - but will be seeing you as well. Hope your numbers are good - not many people over here surprisingly.
