Hi, We are travelling from Newcastle to Nyngan, Bourke,Wanaaring, Tibooburra up to Camerons Corner and Innaminka and returning Via White Cliffs. We will be in a Patrol 4wd towing a Jayco Camper. I was wondering what the road conditions are, points of interest, and refueling. We are dual fuel LPG/Unleaded.We plan on leaving 1.7.07 and returning 14.7.07. Cheers Dianne Robertson

Went the same way to Innaminka from Newcastle at easter on route to the simpson and beyond.
We were in a pajero Diesel with twin tanks so didn't take much notice of ULP, or gas or service stations actually :)

But the distances between fuel stops are not that great between these places, only about 350ks or so. (Tibooburra was our first night & fuel stop)
So you shouldn't have to many drama's.

Roads were in good condition then.

I would recommend going up the bore track to Innaminka and returning via Moomba

Hi Dianne
We are leaving Tweed Heads Sat 30/6 & heading to Corner Country via Currawinya National Park. There will be two vehicles, 1 white pajero towing a CUB off road camper& a white toyota ute towing a small camping trailer.
If you have time you should call in at Hungerford(a great outback pub) & perhaps Currawinya National Park.
We are using Tiboooburra as our base. Unleadded fuel should be ok but unable to advise about LPG.
If you are interested, email me at vincebarnes@netspace.net.au & we could arrange to have a beer or 2 around a camp fire.

Hi Dianne.
Forget to mention that Trevor & Carol will be joining us at Warwick. We will have 3 vehicles so you are quite welcome to join us somewhere on the road.

Hi Robbo
You should have no trouble travelling to those places in your Patrol unless it's wet, then it would pay to take notice of road closures.
Suggestion - On you way back down call into Milparinka and have a look it's a great spot - just south of Tibooburra
Enjoy your trip
Cheers for now

Hi Dianne. Last July we towed a Coromal camper from Ipswich via Thargominda, Bulloo Downs to the Corner and Fort Grey (excellent facilties - BBQs, toilets, water, walking tracks, history/information signs, ranger).

We planned on refueling at Cameron's Corner, but they had run dry - no ULP or Diesel. Carry a full jerry can - or it can be a long wait till the next delivery.

At Innamincka - good camp spot at the 'Town Common' - about 2 klms from town on the Cooper Creek. (eg NOT the large area adjacent to the town, also near a small creek, for Bus's).
Also good camping at Cullyamurra Water hole on the Cooper about 4 klms from town.
If you have time, Coongie Lakes is worth visiting. Some nice camp spots beside the lake, and brilliant photography........................Keith
