Un bleep enbelievable! Regardless of your political persuasion, you've got to see this as an upcoming election political stunt.

Petrol prices have been an issue for a couple of years now, and Johnny has been saying there is nothing they can do about it. What are the chances that the results of an enquiry wont be known until after the election, or, they find a scapegoat before the election?

I'd love to wipe that arrogant smirk of the treasurer's dial...

Truckster,
I should probably have put ;-))) instead of :-)))) at the end of my reply. You don't need conversion; you have seen the light ;-)

I'm just sick of crap. Any suggestions? I'm considering not watching the news anymore, focusing on the priorities in my life; even if that means spending less time cruising this site LOL

Can't win, people complain when nothing happens then complain when they do something, political stunt mabay, but of coarse no other party pules any "political stunt's" around election time do they.

I sayl you got to ask yourself would you prefer Costello or Swan running the treasury , I'll take Costello any day of the week. I am a "Blue collar" worker and would still prefer Johnny and his team than that Rudd and his pack of monkeys with there smoke and bull bleep .

On a side note,I was lucky enough to briefly meet the Treasurer once, nice guy and very switched on. Also by chance Meet the Defence Minister Dr. Brendan Nelson back when he was the education minister I think it was, just before I started my apprenticeship. he was having lunch with his too Federal police security people, I told him what I was doing and he ended up talking to me for about 15 minutes about it over a coffee.

Cheers.

Hi Exploder,

I agree that they all do it, it's the stark obviousness of this one that irritates me.

I don't deny the validity of your experiences, but I have met a few politicians as well. I have met them in their 'natural environment' at functions, restaurants and hotels without the cameras and media around; it's definitely not inspiring seeing the leaders of the state or nation behaving the same way they do in parliament.
