recently I made enquiries about
Warburton Crossing Track fromthe
Birdsville Track on to the K1 track.
Even though the ''official'' word is that the track is still closed, , I spoke to the
ranger at
Birdsville last week who said that he had that day inspected the crossing and declared it quite passable.
Can any body in authority confirm my findings?

Wouldn't 'the

Birdsville' be in authority??

The current (June 6th) desert parks bulletin says "
Warburton Crossing is open to 4wd - caution at ponded water".
Don't read whats at the start of the bulletin - later on its gives the correct info.

Hi gdobson,
Yes it is open but take care or avoid the 1st 3 ks of the the
Rig Road where it joins the K1. Do NOT expect the
Rig Road through K1 to be an easy access for trailers, it is not. The dune systems there are soft and have high lips.
Otherwise enjoy.
Cheers
