I depart
Yulara for
Broome next Thursday.
Has anyone driven the Tanami in the past few days...????
Just wondering the usual - Track conditions??

Jarrod, my info is a few weeks old, not days, but road was generally good then,
short corrugated sections that flattened out by the time you were getting sick of them. The last 50 k before
Halls Creek was bloody rough, just slow down ,grin
& bear it. We found the
road camp site, on left about 20 km short of the WA border
to be a much more amenable
camp than the gravel & ashes patch on offer at
Rabbit Flat. Fuel was $2.20. Not open all days.....oldbaz.

My son is just back from
Alice Springs via Tanami. He didn't mention any problems and enjoyed the trip.

Correction Jarrod. I looked at the photos he sent me, and he went on the
Gary Junction Road not the Tanami.

Its rain in Alice now, I wouldn't be making any definite plans until it stops. It might be just a passing shower, but at the moment its settling in pretty
well.
