Just take me north to the tropics and place me up high in a Paperbark tree.

The GREEN ANTS will do the rest

Cheers

When I'm gone I won't care what they do to me.
The only thing I want to be late for is my funeral :))

Personally I was thinking of hanging around for bit yet......

As for the green ants I get enough of the poxy mongrels every day, being up a tree with then is a bit like pergatory. Of course that depends on which religion you follow. :-))))

Well I had thought of being cremated and having ashes scattered in a favourite place (to be decided - I haven't been everywhere yet!). This would lessen my environmental impact of taking up a plot somewhere.

So now someone I suppose is going to tell me the pitfalls of being burnt (I am sure it won't hurt) and I will be releasing noxious gases into the atmosphere (what else is new? lol) and causing untold pollution.

I support greeness as much as the next sane person and try not to impact wastefully on the environment but start to get uptight when people start telling me how I should live my life.

Just my thoughts

I rekkon some of this green business is exactly that. Look at my recyclying bin, collected by the council.
I pay for the packaging, then have to spend my valuable time sorting out what goes into which bin. Then the council contractor collects it if I've paid the council their yearly rippoff.
Then they sort it and recycle it or sell it offshore for a huge profit.

Take my stuff to the council tip. I have to sort it out...tyres here, batteries there, steel somewhere else. Just to make life easier for those who recycle the stuff I've bought so that they can make a profit.
Geez, talk about money for nothing and chicks for free !!!

Muddy , My thoughts as well!, its all out of control unfortunately, Overhear on the east coast NSW, we are having severe weather conditions, a friend of ours pleaded with council to allow permission to have a tree lopped which overhung their house, they carried on about what habitat issues with wild life, inspector so&so will have to investigate!, Guess What?, the F..... thing came down in high winds we had, and knocked the house in half!!. It was a miracle know one was Killed. Greene's have a place, but need controlling big time!!.

Cheers Axle.

Yeah - we had a tree like that in Adelaide last week. Massive gum tree that was starting to drop limbs and looking a bit sickly. The owners neighbors wanted it cut down as it was thier property that was more threatened. The owner was sympathetic and lodged all the paperwork involved.

The local Council fought and stalled and prevaricated for over 6 months before finally agreeing to allow it to be removed. This involved an arbourist report (at applicant's expense - some hundreds of dollars), fees payable to council for consideration of application and a few other costs.

Last week they hired a contractor to remove the tree. At 5am on the DAY the contractor was due to start a windstorm hit Adelaide and the tree came down on the nieghbours carport badly damaging 2 cars, crushed the carport and did minor damage to the house.

Was front page news here in Adelaide and prompted a week of arguments and letters to editor from the tree huggers and tree haters on the issues of safety versus preservation.

General Consensus is that Councils have become real nazis on tree preservation and it virtually has to be proven that it is a safety risk before you can remove one. This of course cost hundreds of dollars and sometimes they will even order you to try and "save" the tree which can cost thousands!

Where will it all end????

I vaguely remember (as with most of my remembrances) a story about a homeowner battling for months with his local council to remove some trees from near his house. Council refused, tree fell down and killed said homeowner. Surviving family then set about council. Cannot remember end result.

Greenatics - maybe should have had it copyrighted hahahahaha

Donate as many organs as possible to help others. Thats the kind of recycling we should all do. Give the rest of your body to medical students to cut and paste! Cheaper for those left behind. I intend to be in a better place by then. Chris.
