I again just wondering what would be the best tyre pressure (everyday road use) to run in by BF Goodrich All Terrains they are fitted to a single cab Hilux which is my daily commuting vehicle. Thanks again.

4be [used to be a radio station with that call
sign] have a look in the search function , just type in 4psi rule and you will get to spend the next day or two reading up on tire pressures .

toyota have recommended psi on the door frame when you open the door. I dont believe it myself. The tyre people should have recommended then they cant get out of probs re under inflation. I have found two diffent brands wore differintly at same pressure and had to adjust to get the tyres to wear evenly. What ever you decide keep checking the wear pattern at least every 5K and more often if you remember.
A bump over the kerb or simillar can be enough to put the alignement out I have been told so dont rely on anything less than your eyesight.

Hi 4be
I have the BFG 285's on the LC100 and have found them to run best at 240 kpa. Any less they get 'loose' on the road. Your rig is lighter so I would say 220-230 kpa. Don't run them too low as they will wear down on the edges.
Regards
Derek.

Hi Bonz
32 psi to 34 psi for everyday unloaded commuting as stated. Increase the rears if you load it up.
I found a great converter...
KPA to PSI
Here is a spec sheet on some AT's. I am not sure what size you have.
BFG's
Here is a UK chart. I can't find the Hilux local specs. Pressure Chart

Derek.

Depends on the size of your tyres & how much weight you carry. BFG don't recommend set preasures rather they have a measurement called the "Static Loaded Radius". For example a 225/75R16/D BFG Mud terrain has a S.L.R. of 13.6" measured from the middle of the wheel to the ground. It doesn't matter what load you carry or on what vehicle they are fitted to, the tyre is pumped up to that measurement. This ensures the tyre is at it's optimum shape for road holding, wear, braking & grip. Sorry I don't have the Data Sheet for the All terrains only Mud Terrains.
